“We shape our homes and then our homes shape us.”

Initial Meeting…
Cost… Free! (Travel charges may apply to areas outside of the Christchurch metropolitan zone). During the first meeting we ask lots of questions so we get a good feel of our clients’ needs and how they use (or rather wish they could) their space. We discuss how we can maximize the available space, brainstorm design options that compliment their lifestyle and talk through schedules and budgets. Concept Design and Design Development…
Unlike some other design companies, NC Design does not use pre-defined lines of cabinetry. We create “one-off” designs specific to our individual customers’ requirements using the information gathered from the Initial Meeting with an injection of NC Design flare.
All of our projects begin with a Concept Design in the form of photo realistic, computer-generated renders. The Concept Design is just that, a concept. We will work closely with you to develop and refine the design (three free amendments) and once this is done a detailed estimate will be produced for the project.
The Design Development phase typically takes three to five weeks, however this can vary depending on the complexity of the design and the number of affected spaces (pantries, laundries, wardrobes etc.)
Once you have accepted our design and estimate we will work together with you and/or your builder on an appropriate time-line that suits both our production team and your schedule.
In most cases the manufacture of kitchen cabinets and joinery takes anywhere between 25 – 40 working days. It really depends on the size of the design and chosen materials. A typical kitchen, pantry and laundry project that combines Thermoformed cabinets, Solid Surface benchtops and Custom Glass splash-backs is
approximately 7 weeks from
acceptance to completion.
